Why Home Staging Pays $$ : Part II

Plume is always gathering data on the benefits of home staging.  Many resources are saying the same thing:  Home Staging is a great investment.  Here is another report from HomeGain’s 2011 Report:

Home Staging is a great investment, providing one of the highest returns (nearly 300%).  The bottom line is that staged home sell 73% faster than non-staged homes.  With less time on the market, consider that the cost of home staging is significantly less than the amount of your first price reduction should your home not sell quickly!

Plume Home Staging prepares your home to look its best before the first buyer walks through the door, allowing you to take full advantage of the initial burst of interest that occurs when your home is first listed.

Why Home Staging Pays $$$

Per Experts, home staging can add 15 – 20 % to the selling price.  With sellers leaning on smaller amounts of equity these days, that is huge!

I took the title of these 10 Tips Per Bob Vila’s Website, and filled in commentary.  Here is what Bob Vila’s website states:

“Home staging may not seem hugely important, but in today’s improving real estate market, the tiniest detail could mean the difference between “For Sale” and “Sold.”

1. Be aware of market trends and play up these features in your house.  “Data suggests, for example, that homebuyers are hot on modern bathrooms but lukewarm on home theaters.
