Staging Design Challenges

Many owners get a little overwhelmed when it comes to a laundry list of things to get done to get their home ready for market.  We recommend painting as one of those quick fix items, but it is not always done.  We do come across homes many homes where we do have to work around a bright assortment of wall colors.  This is a challenge for staging, but ultimately more fun.  It’s challenging because we usually work in a world of neutral palettes with tiny bits of color.  And generally we pick that color based on what inventory we have available at the time and whether it suits the home.  This week we staged a home with each room was painted a bright hue.  Luckily this home was super charming 20’s in Seattle’s Greenlake area, so a little personality was not going to get in the way of market tastes.

Here the challenge was fireplace + wall color.  We added some fun mirror collage and quirky neoclassical bust.
